A GIRL CALLED UNTOUCHABLE-- Gothic electronica artist A Girl Called Untouchable’s debut album “Bleeding Hearts” will be released on December 14, 2004. This eight song cd (approximately 42 minutes) is filled with ethereal gothic vocals and haunting synthesizers. The vocal style is reminiscent of Amy Lee from Evanescence, and when coupled with the minimalist use of synthesizers the effects are heart warming and emotional. The song style is heavily retrospective on the things in the world that are generally over looked, and also introspective issues of depression and loneliness. The influences of bands like Lacuna Coil, Evanescence and Switchblade Symphony are easy to hear, but the album isn’t weighed down by them. Instead it sounds fresh, well balanced and solid. The debut album is a stunningly beautiful opus and a really refreshing change to the insubstantial forced angst and melancholy of the modern music scene, and instead harking back to melodic, alternative acts such as All About Eve and This Mortal Coil.
